Introduction to Cornerstone Investment Management & Consulting
Located on the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay in Daphne, Alabama, Cornerstone Investment Management & Consulting is an investments firm founded by a desire to bring to everyone professional investment management - a service that has traditionally been reserved for the most wealthy. Often, providers in this industry don't place fiduciary responsibilities to clients as their sole priority due to their compensation arrangements. After working in the industry for years and managing over ½ Billion $ between us, we work to bring that experience to everyone through our two services (investment management and hourly investment consulting) that make your investment costs clear.
We can work with you on an on-going basis (for a fee percent of the account) or as a project-based consultant. Because we are paid by the client, not by a commission or a hidden fee, we provide unbiased and independent advice from a wide range of investment options without conflict of interest. In addition, both of the principals of the firm are Chartered Financial Analysts which is the highest designation within the investments industry, akin to a CPA, and MD or a JD.
We aren't tied to a mutual fund company, a
bank or the limited proprietary products of one brokerage house. We are paid by no one but you, and our advice is objective,
un-biased and based on your needs. We seek to add value both through enhanced performance and reduced fees.
In an effort to accomplish this goal, we critically evaluate your investment
options to find the best combination of risk and return, analyze fees and
expenses and factor in the state of the economy and its likely direction. Yet, we also feel there are too many
layers of fees between the individual and the investment. Under many
arrangements you might wind up paying as much as 2.5% to 3% each year between the
advisor and the mutual fund. When the market is returning 18%, this is
expensive, but not painful. However, the effect can be quite damaging when the market returns are closer to their long-term average between nine and eleven percent.
