Mark E. Davidson, CFA
Director of Investments
With over a decade of experience in the investment management industry, Mark Davidson serves as the Director of Investments for Cornerstone Investment Management and Consulting, which he founded with partner Scott Koser, CFA, in 2003. Davidson's responsibilities include equity analysis, portfolio management, securities trading, performance review and assessment, macroeconomic analysis, and firm strategy and management.
Education
Davidson earned his Bachelor's degree in mathematics from Samford University in 1992. In 1994, he graduated with his Master's degree from the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University. To further his understanding of the investment industry, Davidson began studying for the Chartered Financial Analyst examinations and received his designation in 1999.
Involvement
Active in the community, Davidson currently serves as the 2006-2008 President of the Samford Alumni Association. A graduate of Leadership Mobile's Class of 2006, he is a member of the Rotary Club of Downtown Mobile as well as Mobile United. Davidson serves as an adjunct professor of finance at the University of South Alabama, and he is an active member of Dauphin Way United Methodist Church.
Personal
Davidson is married to the former Lynn Weeks of Savannah and is the proud father of one son, Pape Ellis (1). A former recreational soccer player, Davidson's free time is now filled with family time, traveling, enjoying college football, hiking, kayaking, and other outdoor activities.
